Caution if you take too much of this food, heart disease may occur

If you eat too many chips, pizza and all kinds of junk foods you are at risk of high cholesterol and heart diseases.
Many of you will realize that the main reason for this is trans fats, which companies use in their food and beverages so that they can last a long time or not go bad.

Limit trans fats in food and beverages

Whether you worry about your health or not, the food regulator FSSAI needs to be concerned about your eating and drinking. That is why the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has set a limit on trans fats in all food items. A statement from the FSSAI said that the FSSAI has now joined the ranks of a number of countries where the best policy to eliminate trans fats can be followed.

No more than 3% trans fat from 2021

According to the FSSAI, "There are approximately 40 countries with a policy on trans fats. In Asia, India is the first country, after Thailand, to have a best practice policy on eliminating trans fats." FSSAI has limited industrial TFA to a maximum of 3% in all fats and oils. This rule is applicable from January 2021.

In 2022, the limit on trans fats will have to be reduced to 2%

Its trans fats limit will be reduced to 2% in 2022. Just last month, the Food Safety and Standards, Second Amendment Act, 2021 was enacted. All fats and oils are limited to a maximum of 2 percent. This rule will come into force from January 1, 2022.

What are trans fats?

There are generally two types of trans fats. One is natural trans fat and the other is artificial trans fat. Milk, yogurt, ghee, cheese and other dairy foods, respectively, as well as meat and eggs contain natural trans fats that are harmful to overeating. While in the industry, processed oils, foods, packets are in closed foodstuffs. The FSSAI is reining in this. In which the artificial trans fat contained in the oil is more harmful to the body by overheating.
