Why does ED want to interrogate Varsha Raut, find out how Varsha Raut's money trail scam happened?

The troubles of Varsha, the wife of Sanjay Raut, a Shiv Sena MP and editor of the Shiv Sena mouthpiece Saamna, have been growing.
Through the ED, Sanjay Raut's wife Varsha got Rs 67 lakh from the wife of the accused in the PMC bank scam and another person. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) was investigating whether the amount was received from the scammer. The ED has seized assets worth about Rs 72 crore from Sanjay Raut's close confidante Praveen Raut in the PMC Bank scam case.

Varsha Raut is a partner in Pravin Raut's construction company Avni

The ED also revealed that Sanjay Raut's wife Varsha Raut was also a partner in Pravin Raut's construction company Avni. It may be mentioned that Rs 55 lakh was transferred from Madhuri Raut's account to Varsha Raut's account. The matter will now be questioned on January 5. Earlier, the ED had summoned Varsha Raut on December 29 for questioning. But Varsha Raut will be questioned on January 5 seeking extra time.

Raut was incensed when the ED investigated his wife

Recently, when the ED questioned Varsha Raut in the PMC bank scam case, Sanjay Raut got into a scuffle and literally attacked the Modi government in the encounter. "I am a very stingy man," he said in a threatening tone at the press conference. Don't get me wrong. In fact, Raut was incensed when the ED investigated his wife. Even so, he is known as a Shiv Sena MP.

Despite sending summons three or four times a year, he did not appear before the ED

The amount that the ED is investigating was received by Varsha through Madhuri, wife of PMC scam accused Praveen Raut, and another source. ED wanted to inquire about the year in that regard. Despite sending summons three or four times a year, he did not appear before the ED. He had asked for time till January 5. Meanwhile, Sanjay Raut claimed that we had sent the documents to the ED regarding the information sought by the ED.

Praveen Raut's assets worth Rs 72 crore were attached

The ED had attached assets worth Rs 72 crore to Praveen Raut under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act 2002. During the investigation, it was also learned that Praveen Raut had given Rs 1 crore 60 lakh to his wife Madhuri. Out of this, Madhuri gave Rs 55 lakh to Varsha, wife of Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut, on the pretext of an interest-free loan on December 23, 2010 and another Rs 5 lakh on March 15, 2011. With that amount, Varsha Raut bought a flat in Dadar East.

95 crore from PMC Bank through HDIL

During the investigation, it was also learned that Praveen Raut had received Rs 95 crore from PMC Bank through HDIL. There were no documents as to why the amount was given to Praveen Raut. But HDIL's Book of Accounts clearly mentioned that the amount was given to Praveen Raut for the land acquired by HDIL in Palghar. Thus shocking details of the case were being found. The ED had summoned Varsha Raut to inquire into the matter.
