The story
According to mythology, there lived a Brahmin named Shubhavrat on the banks of the Narmada. He was very knowledgeable. But he was very fond of earning money. He did one too. But during his old age, many diseases surrounded him. During this time, he realized that he had spent his entire life earning.
He wanted to follow the other side. Because of this, he started being very worried. One day he suddenly remembered a verse in which information about the specialty of bathing the Magh was given. He pledged to bathe in Magh. He took a bath for nine days and left the body after bathing on the tenth day.
Shubhavrat did not do any good. But after bathing in Magh and repenting, his mind became clear. Due to bathing in the month of Magha, he attained heaven.
