In fact, the bride and her lover Sukhveer Singh had filed an application in the High Court seeking protection of the woman's husband and her family members. In the application, the woman said that she is married to Gurjeet Singh and they have 3 children. 6 months ago she came in contact with Sukhbir Singh and they fell in love. When the woman's husband and family members came to know about this, they threatened to kill the woman and her lover.

Abuse of the right to apply without any evidence

The woman and her boyfriend wrote a letter to the Patiala police chief seeking help but got no help from the police. Because of this he applied to the High Court. But Justice Manoj Bajaj said during the hearing on the application that such a relationship without divorce is not legally recognized. This is an unholy relationship. The application has been made without any basis, which is an abuse of the right to apply.
