According to Hindu belief, Sankashti Chaturthi is the Chaturthi Tithi of Margashirsha (Aghan) month. It is also called Ganadhip Sankashti Chaturthi (Ganadhip Sankashti Chaturthi 2020). This time it is the festival of Sankashti Chaturthi tomorrow i.e. on 3 December 2020. It is believed that keeping Sankashti Chaturthi fast fulfills all wishes. On this day, Lord Ganesha is worshiped by observing a fast. Lord Ganesha is pleased with this fast and fulfills all the wishes of the fast.
Worship method: On
this day, before sunrise, one should wake up and bathe and wear clothes. Then place a clear yellow cloth on a post and place the idol of Lord Ganesha on it. After that, by spraying the Ganges water, along with the whole place, make yourself holy. Light a lamp and keep incense etc. in front of Lord Ganesha. Offer a yellow flower garland to Ganesha. After that, offer Ganesha to God. After that recite Ganesh Chalisa, Ganesh Stuti. Also chant Lord Ganesha. After that Lord Ganesha perform Aarti and offer him Besan Laddu. After that, bow to Lord Ganesha. After that, wish Ganeshji for the family. Then complete the fast with Arghya in the evening.
