Supreme Court orders not to affix sticker on door of Corona patients' house

New Delhi: The Supreme Court has ordered the state governments not to stick posters outside the homes of Corona patients.
The court said that there was no need for the authorities to put up posters and disclose the identities of the patients unless the need arose from a higher level.

Before the court, a man named Kush Kalra had filed a public interest petition demanding an end to the practice of putting up posters outside the homes of Corona patients. Doing so violates the privacy and self-esteem of the patients, the petitioner said.

In almost all the states and union territories of the country, stickers are affixed on the door of a positive person of Corona. The purpose is to prevent people from coming to their homes, but the person who is a victim of corona because of this sticker has to be discriminated against, and also struggles to get the necessities of life.

In Gujarat, if a person suffers from corona, he has to be quarantined for 14 days, and a sticker is affixed outside his house showing all the details including the person of the house, the name of the patient and how long his quarantine period will last. In a PIL filed by a Delhi resident in the Supreme Court, the issue was raised that a corona patient who is already facing loneliness due to the practice of affixing stickers has to suffer or be discriminated against.
