Know amazing secrets of Shri Amarnath Temple

According to the scriptures, Goddess Parvati told the story of immortality after Lord Shiva inspired her wife Parvati to uncover the secret of immortality. Then, Lord Shiva decided to move towards the cave because the problem of telling the story of Amarkatha was that no other living person should listen to the story. But the pigeon's egg was in the cave and the pair of pigeons born of the egg were said to have become immortal and can still be seen in the cave.

But while going to the cave, Lord Shiva did some things which according to his devotees were great. Due to these few things, the entire path of the cave became blissful.

It is believed that this cave was discovered by a shepherd named Buta Malik, who met the saint here. The saint gave him a bag of coal. When he reached home, he was very surprised as coal was converted into gold coins. When Buta went back to thank the saint, he found the temple of Amarnath there.

The most surprising is that the Amarnath cave is home to a natural lingam made of ice. Lingam waxes and waxes with the chakra and is considered a miracle of nature and the power of Lord Shiva. The cave has two more ice cubes, each representing Goddess Parvati and Lord Ganesha. It is believed that the cave is about 5000 years old. The lingam here is called Swayambhu Lingam because it is said to have manifested itself here.
