How Attitude Is A Better Predictor Of Your Success Than Your IQ

“There is no failure except in no longer trying.”

The world’s most successful people were not successful in their first attempt, what made them successful were their continuous efforts to keep themselves going. Having a good intelligence quotient is a plus point but if you don’t have an attitude to do something great you cannot be successful.

As they say, success is determined by how you deal with situations rather than accepting the situations as they are. The people who succumbed to helplessness’ in their difficult times and accepted the failure without even trying were never successful but the people who believed that every situation is worth trying were able to achieve big in life.

“Failure is information—we label it a failure, but it’s more like, ‘This didn’t work, and I’m a problem solver, so I’ll try something else.’”

Here are some differences between people who have a fixed mindset and the people who are always ready to grow no matter what the situation is:

While the people with a fixed mindset never believe in the spirit of fighting, the people with a growth mindset believe that to be successful they need to confront their fears and take actions rather than just sitting back. They will empower themselves with the desired skills to overcome their failure and will bounce back with high spirits. Instead of avoiding challenges and giving up easily they would put efforts to embrace those challenges and taking them as opportunities to be successful in life. They are always open to learning from criticism rather than ignoring constructive criticism.

Thus without a doubt, the attitude to deal with the situations and take necessary actions is a better predictor of success.
