PM Narendra Modi will attend the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) countries summit on Tuesday. President Xi Jinping will also participate in this conference. In this way, both will be face to face for the second time in a month. The two attended the SCO meeting last week.

Issues such as terrorism, trade, health, energy as well as measures to compensate for the damage caused by the Corona epidemic will be discussed at the BRICS conference on Tuesday. Apart from Chinese President Xi Jinping, Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro and Russian President Vladimir Putin are also proposed to attend this meeting.

Explain BRICS (BRICS) is considered an effective organization that represents half of the total population of the world. This includes Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. The BRICS countries have a combined gross domestic product (GDP) of US $ 16.6 trillion.

"On the invitation of President Putin, PM Modi will attend the 12th summit of BRICS countries hosted by Russia," the Foreign Ministry said in a statement. The ministry said, India will be chaired for the next BRICS summit in the meeting. India will host the 13th BRICS Summit to be held in 2021. Prior to this, India has chaired the BRICS countries summits in 2012 and 2016.
