More than 9000 bookings of Mahindra Thar in 5 days

Mahindra & Mahindra has removed the entry level AX and AX Std variants of its recently launched Off Roader 2020 Mahindra Thar from the line. The company has removed both these variants from its website. These variants were priced at Rs 9.80 lakh, Rs 10.65 lakh and Rs 10.85 lakh respectively.

9000 bookings in 5 days

The car was launched in October and in 5 days the company received more than 9000 bookings for this car. The company also received more than 5,000 bookings in the last two weeks. In this way, the company has received more than 20,000 bookings in a single month. The Thar AX and Thar LX variants of Thar have been the most in demand.

Now

after the entry-level variants of Mahindra Thar have been discontinued, the company has brought the starting price of the car to Rs 11.90 lakh. This price is for the AX O petrol variant of the Thar. The price of petrol variants of the car has gone up from Rs 11.90 lakh to Rs 13.55 lakh. So the price of diesel variants has also gone up from Rs 12.10 lakh to Rs 13.75 lakh.

Equipped with modern safety features, the car has safety features

like dual front airbags, ABS, EBD, river parking sensor, speed alert system, electronic stability program roll over mitigation, hill hold assist, hill decent control.

The new Thar will be powered by a 2.2-liter diesel and a 2.0-liter mStallion turbo petrol engine. The diesel engine generates 130bhp and 320Nm of torque. So the petrol engine generates 187 bhp of power and 380Nm of torque.
