Putin avoided accusations that Russia was helping Biden

MOSCOW: US President Donald Trump has accused Russia of providing financial support to his Democratic rival Joe Biden in the upcoming presidential election. But Russian President Vladimir Putin declined to comment.

He did not want to comment on the matter in an interview given to 'Rasha-1' channel on Sunday. Asked if Russia was providing financial support to US Democratic nominee Joe Biden, Putin said, "I will not comment."

The two candidates in this year's US presidential election, Donald Trump and Joe Biden, recently clashed in their second and final televised debate. Trump attacked Joe Biden in the debate, saying Biden had received সহায়তা 3.5 million in financial support from the mayor of Moscow.

Biden, meanwhile, has denied the allegations in a statement issued Friday stating "Similar, baseless allegations concerning Russia's intelligence have been made more than once. Biden argues, because Russia's leaders know that if I am elected, I will be much tougher on Moscow.

U.S. administration officials have accused Russia of interfering in their upcoming presidential election without providing any evidence in recent months. Moscow has repeatedly denied such allegations by Washington.
