If you also travel by train often then this news may be useful for you. Sometimes it happens that due to sudden travel we have to buy tickets from the ticket window in an emergency. In such a situation, what will you do if your ticket gets lost somewhere in a hurry?

Every day millions of people travel by Indian Railways in India. Some travel in general and some in AC. You can travel in any class. It is mandatory for you to have a ticket. People traveling in general have to buy tickets and people traveling in AC also do so. What will you do if your ticket gets lost in a hurry? In such a situation, you do not need to worry. Because Indian Railways has prepared an option for this.

follow this method

If your ticket is lost, you can get a duplicate ticket for the same journey from the ticket window. But, you have to keep in mind that you can get a duplicate ticket only on two conditions, either the ticket is confirmed or RAC i.e. Reservation Against Cancellation. In case of loss of ticket, you will have to pay a charge of Rs. 50 for sleeper category and Rs. 100 for the category above that for a duplicate ticket. On the other hand, if the ticket is cancelled, you may have to pay 25% of the ticket amount.

When will I get the ticket later?

Suppose you are not getting your ticket and the TT comes to check it. You have made a second ticket as per the rules and later you get the old ticket, then you do not have to worry. You can get a refund of the money you spent on making the duplicate ticket. For this you have to go to the counter and tell all your problems. Then after deducting 20 rupees or 5% amount, the remaining money is refunded to you.

If it takes time for you to duplicate the ticket and you are unable to travel due to some reason, then you can contact the TTE and tell him the whole matter. You can also return the ticket purchased from the counter and get a refund.

Railways provides this facility

If a person has a confirmed ticket and gets injured due to a train accident during the journey, he gets an insurance cover of Rs 7.5 lakh. Also, hospital treatment worth Rs 2 lakh is free. On the other hand, if the passenger dies or gets permanent disability in the accident, then his family or he gets an insurance of Rs 10 lakh. Let us tell you, only those who have taken the insurance of 45 paise can claim for this insurance. Let us tell you, while booking the ticket, you should fill the nominee's details correctly.
