T20 World Cup 2024: Irfan Pathan selected Indian playing XI, did not include Yashasvi Jaiswal and Akshar Patel in the team

 

 Former  Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan   has selected the Indian playing XI for the first match of the  Indian team  in  the T20 World Cup 2024.  Irfan  has not included Yashasvi Jaiswal  and  Axar Patel in this team.

Star Sports has shared a video of Irfan Pathan in which he is seen selecting the Indian team for the match against Ireland. He said, 'I believe that Yashasvi Jaiswal opening  is very important for the Indian team  , but after watching the practice match, it seems that this will not happen and Virat-Rohit will open.'

He further said, 'Rishabh Pant will be at number three. I like this idea. Because you will get a left-handed batsman and if he bats in the powerplay, no one will be able to trap him on the off side. Suryakumar Yadav will be at number four, Shivam Dubey at number five, Hardik Pandya at number six, Ravindra Jadeja at number seven and I would like to see Kuldeep Yadav at number eight.'

Apart from this, Irfan Pathan kept three pacers in the team while selecting the Indian playing eleven. He selected Jaspreet Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh and Mohammad Siraj. Here he also said that when India is playing in America, they should keep three pacers in the team and when they go to West Indies, Akshar Patel should be included in the team in place of one pacer.
