Dinesh Karthik retirement from all forms of cricket: Dinesh Karthik, the legendary batsman and wicketkeeper of the Indian Cricket Team, has officially announced his retirement from all formats of cricket. Dinesh Karthik informed his fans through social media that he is retiring from all formats. Karthik wrote in the caption of his post, 'It's official, thank you everyone DK.' Dinesh Karthik has represented India in all three formats. He has participated in 26 Tests, 94 ODIs and 60 T20 matches at the international level.

Dinesh Karthik last played an international match for India in the T20 World Cup against Bangladesh in 2022. After that, he was seen playing matches continuously in IPL and domestic cricket. On the occasion of his birthday, he has officially announced his retirement.

Dinesh Karthik shared a note in his post and wrote

“I am overwhelmed by the affection, support and love I have received over the last few days. My heartfelt thanks to all the fans who have made this feeling possible. After giving it a lot of thought over the past few days, I have decided to move on from playing representative cricket. I officially announce my retirement and leave my playing days behind as I prepare for the new challenges that lie ahead.

“I would like to thank all my coaches, captains, selectors, teammates and support staff members who have made this long journey enjoyable. Out of the millions who play the sport in our country, I consider myself one of the lucky ones to have had the opportunity to represent the country, and even more fortunate to have received the goodwill of so many fans and friends.

My parents have been pillars of strength and support all these years, and without their blessings I would not have become who I am. I am also very grateful to Deepika, a professional player herself, who often put her career on hold to walk my journey with me. Of course, a big thank you to all our fans! Cricket and cricketers would not be the same without your support and best wishes.
