Jagannath Rath Yatra 2024: The Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath will be taken out on July 7 by Jamalpur Jagannath Temple Trust Ahmedabad. Some special preparations are going on for this Yatra at the Jagannath Temple located in Jamalpur, Ahmedabad.
Thousands of devotees from all over the country participate in this yatra. This time the 147th Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath will be taken out on 7th July in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. In this program, Lord Jagannath, his brother Balram and sister Subhadra will go on a tour of the city.
The dress will be special
Lord Jagannath will come out wearing special clothes made of different material. Lord Jagannath's Rath Yatra is famous all over the world, during the yatra Lord Krishna, his brother Balabhadra and sister Subhadra ride on the chariot and go on a city tour. This time, necessary materials and clothes have also been brought from Gujarat, Mathura and Vrindavan for the Rath Yatra.
The journey will start from Jamalpur Jagdish Temple
Before the Rath Yatra, a traditional Jal Yatra will be organized in the temple on the morning of 22 June. On the auspicious day of Ashadhi Bij in Mosal i.e. Shriran Chhodrai Ji Temple of Saraspur, the Nagar Yatra of Lord Shri Jagannath Ji, sister Shri Subhadra Ji and Shri Balabhadra Ji will start from Jamalpur Jagdish Temple in a traditional devotional atmosphere. This Lord will stay in Mosal for fifteen days from the day of Jeth Sud Poonam. So that all the devotees can get the benefit of seeing the replica version of the tableau.
Special preparations are being made
After Odisha, Ahmedabad's Rath Yatra is considered to be the second most popular. Preparations for the Rath Yatra are done months in advance. Along with grand preparations for the Yatra, tight security arrangements have also been made. Police will also be deployed on the Rath Yatra route and at Jamalpur Jagannath temple.
Importance of Jagannath Yatra
According to the Puranas, the person who goes to Gundicha Nagar chanting the name of Shri Jagannath Ji during the Rath Yatra is freed from the bondage of rebirth. The person who participates in the Rath Yatra chanting the name of God, all his wishes are fulfilled. It is believed that by merely participating in the Rath Yatra, all problems related to children are solved.
