IPL 2024: RCB team won while faltering, Virat Kohli and Du Plessis played brilliant innings

 


Royal Challengers Bengaluru vs Gujarat Titans, 52nd Match Report: In IPL 2024, the 52nd match of the tournament was played today between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Gujarat Titans. Host team captain Faf du Plessis won the toss and decided to field first. His decision was proved right by the bowlers in the power play itself. After a poor start, Gujarat set a challenging target of 148 runs for RCB, which the hosts achieved with 4 wickets remaining.

After getting to bat first, Wriddhiman Saha came out to bat along with captain Shubman Gill on the field. Wriddhiman Saha scored 1 run and Shubman Gill became the victim of Mohammad Siraj after scoring 2 runs. Sai Sudarshan, who was in excellent form, also returned to the pavilion after scoring 6 runs, but David Miller and Shahrukh Khan made an important partnership of 61 runs for the fourth wicket. From 92/0, Bengaluru's score became 117/6. Will Jacques 1, Rajat Patidar 2, Glenn Maxwell 4 and Cameron Green flopped badly by scoring 1 run. Swapnil Singh supported Dinesh Karthik for the 7th wicket. Together they made an important partnership of 31 runs and RCB won the match by 4 wickets. Dinesh Karthik scored 21 runs off 12 balls while Swapnil Singh remained unbeaten after scoring 15 runs off 9 balls. With this win, RCB has kept its playoff hopes alive. For Gujarat, Josh Little took maximum 4 wickets while Noor Ahmed also got 2 wickets.
