Injury spoiled the game of Chennai and Lucknow, Mayank Yadav and Deepak Chahar are sure to be out of IPL 2024!

In the middle of IPL 2024, Chennai Super Kings and Lucknow Supergiants have suffered a big blow. If media reports are to be believed, Deepak Chahar and Mayank Yadav are out of the remaining IPL season. Both these players had played the last match for their respective teams but in the middle of the match, the injury of both of them troubled them again due to which both of them went out of the field and now the news is coming that both of them will be out of the tournament. I will not be seen playing again.

Chennai Super Kings CEO Kasi Viswanathan said about Deepak Chahar's hamstring strain, "Deepak's injury is not looking good. I would not say that he is out of the season, but his playing time is doubtful. He is in Chennai We are staying here and we are waiting for the report of the medical team and only then we will know something."

The Chennai team will again play against Punjab Kings in their next match in Dharamshala on Sunday afternoon. Chahar has not gone with the team for this match. After the last match on Wednesday, coach Stephen Fleming had said that the situation with Chahar is not good and at present something will be known only after the report of the physio and doctor.

After a good start to the season, Chennai have lost three of their last four matches, including two consecutive defeats to Lucknow Super Giants. They have 10 points from 10 matches and are placed fifth in the points table. They need at least three wins in the remaining matches. Similarly, Mayank Yadav was also ruled out of Lucknow's previous match after bowling 3.1 overs and sources say that before joining the match against Mumbai Indians on April 30, side strain had troubled him again. Mayank's pace was talked about early in the IPL and not only that, he was also discussed as a possible candidate for the Indian team for the T20 World Cup. But fitness concerns have hampered his progress and there are serious doubts over whether he will feature further for LSG this season.

Lucknow have 12 points and need at least two more wins in their remaining four matches to ensure qualification for the playoffs. Their next match will be against Knight Riders on Sunday
