An atmosphere of joy in Central Gaza

There is an atmosphere of happiness in Central Gaza after Hamas announced that it has accepted all the terms of the ceasefire. According to a report by BBB, a crowd of people has gathered outside Al Aqsa Hospital. Children are jumping with joy. People are dancing. Although they do not yet know how beneficial this ceasefire is going to be for them, yet the announcement of the ceasefire has come as a relief to the Gazans.

Aid was not reaching Gaza

Due to increasing tension between Israel and Hamas, aid was not reaching Gaza. In fact, on Monday, Israel had closed Kerem Shalom, the route for aid to reach Gaza. Israel's argument was that Hamas had fired rockets here a day earlier, in which 4 Israeli soldiers were martyred. For this reason this route was closed. However, when aid could not reach Gaza, US President Joe Biden spoke to Netanyahu and assured that Israel would soon open this route. Biden had said that Netanyahu agreed to open this route for humanitarian aid.
