BCCI reprimands Sanju Samson, he was arguing with the umpire after being given out.

Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson  has been found guilty of violating the IPL Code of Conduct in the match against  Delhi Capitals played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on Tuesday. Sanju Samson was controversially given out in this match, after which he was seen arguing with the umpires and now this wicketkeeper-batsman has been fined 30 percent of his match fee for his actions.

According to the IPL statement, "The RR captain has committed a Level 1 offense under Article 2.8 of the IPL Code of Conduct and has accepted the sanction of the Match Referee.   Indian Premier League against Delhi Capitals on May 07 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi "Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson has been fined 30 per cent of his match fee for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct during Match 56 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024."

Samson was batting well in the match against Delhi but in the 16th over of the innings, Shai Hope ended his innings by taking a brilliant catch on the boundary line. However, Hope was very close to the boundary rope while taking the catch and some people believe that the third umpire should have looked at the replays more carefully and perhaps this is what Sanju Samson also wanted because the third umpire gave his decision within a minute. And Sanju was given out.

Sanju was very unhappy and was seen arguing with the umpires and that is why BCCI has fined him. Earlier on April 10 also, Samson was fined Rs 12 lakh by Rajasthan Royals after maintaining a slow over-rate during the match against Gujarat Titans in Jaipur.
