Preity Zinta's character in the film 'Kya Kehna Hai', released about 24 years ago, was highly praised. In the film, Preity Zinta played the character of a young girl who becomes pregnant and decides to give birth to her child. Saif Ali Khan was also in this film, his character was negative. However, Saif Ali Khan's entry into the film happened at the very last moment. The makers even asked him to bring clothes with him.
The film's producer Kumar Taurani recently shared an incident related to the film in an interview. He told that the role played by Saif Ali Khan in 'Kya Kehna' was earlier supposed to be played by some other actor. But at the last moment during the shooting of the film, the actor left the film. In such a situation, the makers had to approach Saif Ali Khan in a hurry.
Makers met Saif
When the makers could not think of any actor, they directly talked to Saif Ali Khan. He told that he reached Saif Ali Khan's house and narrated him the script. Saif agreed to do the film as soon as he heard the story. Time was short, so there were no clothes for Saif's character. Then the makers requested Saif Ali Khan to bring clothes from his home for the shoot.
Ramesh Taurani said, “We asked them to show us their clothes. We selected his clothes and said that please bring them with you and come to the set tomorrow. Then we started shooting.” When Saif Ali Khan played a negative role in 'Kya Kehna', at that time Saif used to do only romantic and positive roles. His acting in this film was also highly appreciated.
Apart from Preity Zinta and Saif Ali Khan, actors like Chandrachud, Farida Jalal, Anupam Kher and Mamik Singh were seen in 'Kya Kehna'. The film was directed by Kundan Shah.
