WATCH: Arjun Tendulkar created havoc with the bat, scored 70 runs with 6 fours and 4 sixes.

Arjun Tendulkar, son of master-blaster Sachin Tendulkar, has once again made headlines with his performance. He played a stormy inning of 70 runs in the Ranji Trophy match against Chandigarh.

Arjun Tendulkar has once again stolen the limelight while playing for Goa in Ranji Trophy 2024. He was being trolled after his poor performance in the Round 1 game against Tripura. Against Tripura, Arjun was able to score only 21 runs and take only two wickets. However, the young all-rounder gave a befitting reply to his critics by making a brilliant comeback in the Round 2 match against Chandigarh.

Arjun played a stormy inning of 70 runs on the second day of the ongoing Round 2 game against Chandigarh. He also hit 5 fours and 4 long sixes during his innings. Arjun also played an important role in taking Goa to a huge score of 618/7 in the first innings. Apart from Arjun, Suyash Prabhudesai (197), Deepraj Gaonkar (115 not out) and Siddharth KV also played valuable innings of 77 runs.

Batting at number eight, Arjun Tendulkar adopted an aggressive approach from the beginning. His aggressive inning of 70 runs in 60 balls not only entertained the fans but also showed that he is gradually getting ready for the big level. Whereas, if we talk about this match, in the reply innings, Chandigarh team had scored 479 runs in its first innings. Arjun has shared glimpses of his innings from his social media account which you can see below.

In this way, Goa gained a lead of 139 runs on the basis of first innings but no result could be achieved in this match and the match remained a draw. Before this match, Goa had to face defeat in its opening match. Tripura had defeated Goa by a huge margin of 237 runs. In such a situation, it will be interesting to see whether Arjun and the Goa team can continue their performance further or not.
