What did SBI claim?
In a report by SBI researchers, it has been claimed that due to the completion of Ram temple in Ayodhya and the work done by the UP government to boost the tourism sector, there will be an additional income of Rs 20 to 25 thousand crore in the financial year 2025. Might be possible.
According to the budget of the UP government, the tax revenue of the state can reach Rs 2.5 lakh crore in the current financial year. According to the SBI report, the expenditure made by tourists in the state may double in 2024 as compared to two years ago.
The expenditure by domestic tourists visiting Uttar Pradesh in the year 2022 was Rs 2.2 lakh crore. Whereas the expenditure incurred by foreign tourists was Rs 10 thousand crores.
Whereas SBI Research has estimated that by the end of the year 2024, due to the emphasis on Ayodhya Ram Temple and the government's tourism, the expenditure by tourists will be more than Rs 4 lakh crore.
On the other hand, if we talk about the number of tourists, all its records can be broken in the year 2024. Whereas in the year 2022, the number of domestic tourists in the state was more than 32 crores, which is 200 percent more than the year 2021.
In the year 2022, 32 crore domestic tourists came to Uttar Pradesh, which is about 200% more than last year. The number of foreign tourists in the year 2022 was 2.21 crore. Which is a record.
How are the economic figures of UP?
The SBI report has made huge estimates of the economic figures of UP in the next five years. According to the report, the size of the country's economy will reach 5 trillion dollars by the year 2028. In this year itself, the GDP of Uttar Pradesh will cross 50 billion dollars. The special thing is that by the year 2028, the share of Uttar Pradesh's GDP in the Indian economy will come second. Also, the size of the GDP of UP will be bigger than that of the European country Norway. According to the report, the GDP of UP in the current financial year is estimated to be Rs 24.4 lakh crore i.e. 298 billion dollars.
