Australian captain Pat Cummins praised Indian players Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja. Speaking to ICC, Cummins said Kohli and Jadeja can take his team out of trouble. Australia captain Cummins has been awarded the ICC Men's Cricketer of the Year Award for 2023. Australia won the 2023 World Cup under the captaincy of Cummins. 

Cummins said, "Kohli and Jadeja are super consistent, you can't keep them away from it, they find a way to get their team out of trouble and make it win, it's really special to be with those guys. Virat Kohli was honored with the ICC Men's ODI Cricketer of the Year 2023 award last week for his stellar performances in ODIs last year. He had emerged as the best batsman in that tournament. He scored 765 runs in 11 matches at an excellent average of 95.62. During this period, he has seen 3 centuries and 6 half-centuries with his bat. His highest score in the World Cup was 117 runs. 

All-rounder Jadeja was named in the ICC Men's Test Team of the Year 2023. 35-year-old Jadeja was the best all-rounder for the Indian team last year. He scored 281 runs in 7 matches last year at an average of 35.12. Last year he scored one century and one half-century in Test cricket. While bowling, he took 33 wickets at an average of 19.39. ,

Jadeja was part of the squad selected for the first two Test matches of the 5-match Test series against England. India had to face defeat by 28 runs in the first test match. In the first Test match, Jadeja played innings of 87 and 2 runs and while bowling, he took 3 wickets in the first innings and 5 wickets in the second innings. Virat had withdrawn his name from the first two test matches due to personal reasons. 

The second match will be played in Visakhapatnam from 2nd February. Before this match, Ravindra Jadeja and KL Rahul have been ruled out of the second test due to injuries. After the exit of Jadeja and KL Rahul from the Test team, now three players have been included in the Indian team. Sarfaraz Khan, Saurabh Kumar and Washington Sundar have been added to the Test team.
