West Bengal Congress President and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Choudhary has attacked Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding Ram Temple. He alleged that BJP is insulting Lord Ram by using his name for its political purposes. In fact, most of the constituent parties of the Indian alliance, including the Congress, refused to participate in the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla. Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary was also invited to attend the function.
The opposition is attacking the Central Government regarding the inauguration of Ram Temple before the Lok Sabha elections and is calling it a government programme, due to which the political temperature is rising amid the harsh winter. The round of accusations and counter-accusations continues between each other. Congress and Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary are raising many questions on the government. He says that PM Modi himself wants to become the incarnation of Ram. Ram is being defamed by dragging him into the election issue in a very deliberate manner.

Adhir Ranjan also targeted PM Modi and asked whether he is the only Hindu in the country? Speaking to news agency ANI, the Congress leader said, 'If we are called anti-Hindu for rejecting the invitation to the Ram temple 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony, then what will the Shankaracharyas be called? Is PM Modi the only one left in the entire country who is a Hindu?
He said, 'They (BJP) are insulting Lord Ram by using his name for their political purposes.' CPI (M) general secretary Sitaram Yechury, Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge and former president Sonia Gandhi have already rejected the invitation for the consecration ceremony. Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav had earlier this month declined the invitation, saying he would visit the temple with his family later.
