Hrithik Roshan's 'Fighter' saved the theater which was closed for 7 years

Mumbai's famous theater EROS is being reopened after 7 years. PVR is going to open this theater with Inox IMAX screen. Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone's film Fighter will be shown first.

In the year 2017, a theater built near Churchgate, Mumbai is closed. According to reports, the reason for this was poor ticket sales in theaters and competition from multiplexes. The name of this theater was EROS which was built in Churchgate. Therefore it was easily connected to many parts of the city. Some scenes of the song 'Tum Jo Aaye Zindagi Mein' from Ajay Devgan and Kangana Ranaut's 2010 film 'Once Upon a Time in Mumbai' were also shot in the same theatre. Now, seven years later, the city is going to get its theater back.

Earlier in the year 2018 also, there was a rumor about opening of EROS cinema hall. At that time it was said that earlier there was a provision of 1204 seats in the theatre. Now instead of the balcony, 300 seats will be made in it by making the first floor. But nothing like this happened in the year 2018. After this, again in the year 2023, rumors emerged that EROS cinema theater was being demolished, due to which there was a lot of uproar because it was a very old theater in the city. It was built in the year 1938, which is a historical building of the city. Last year, the matter had escalated so much that BMC had to clarify that this building was not being demolished.

EROS cinema hall is being opened on 26 January i.e. Republic Day. This information has been posted by Pritam Daniel, VP Sales of IMAX Corporation, on his X account. He wrote- “One of the ICONIC theaters of India is EROS Theater in Mumbai. “PVRINOX will inaugurate IMAX at this iconic cinema on January 26”. Apart from the IMAX auditorium, there will also be some more screens in the cinema hall. Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone's film 'Fighter' will be shown first.
