Gallantry Award: 80 soldiers will receive Gallantry Award, 6 will be awarded Kirti Chakra-16 Shaurya Chakra


Of the 80 soldiers who have been announced to be given gallantry awards from Rashtrapati Bhavan, six will be awarded Kirti Chakra, apart from this, 16 brave men will get Shaurya Chakra. 53 soldiers will be awarded Sena Medal. One soldier will be awarded Navy Medal and 4 Air Force Medals.

On the eve of Republic Day, President Draupadi Murmu announced gallantry awards for 80 soldiers. These include 12 soldiers who will be awarded this bravery award posthumously. Out of the 80 soldiers who have been announced to be given gallantry awards from Rashtrapati Bhavan, six will be awarded Kirti Chakra, apart from this, 16 brave men will get Shaurya Chakra. 53 soldiers will be awarded Sena Medal. One soldier will be awarded Navy Medal and 4 Air Force Medals.

Along with gallantry awards, the President also announced Vishisht Seva Medal and War Medal. 311 names were selected for this. Of these, 31 names were selected for Param Vishisht Seva Medal, four for Uttam Yudh Seva Medal, 59 names for Ati Vishisht Seva Medal and 10 for Yudh Seva Medal. Of these, 38 Army medals, 10 Navy medals and 14 Air Force medals will be given. Apart from this, 130 names were declared for Vishisht Seva Medal.

They will get Kirti Chakra

This year six soldiers will be awarded Kirti Chakra. The first name among these is that of Major Digvijay Singh Rawat, he is from 21 Battalion Parachute Regiment (Special Force). The second name in this is that of Major Deependra Vikram, who is posted in the 4th battalion of the Sikh Regiment. The name of Captain Anshuman Singh, posted in the Army Medical Corp 26th Battalion of the Punjab Regiment, is also included in this list, who will be honored with this award posthumously. Apart from this, Pawan Kumar Yadav of 21st battalion of Mehar Regiment will also get Kirti Chakra. Havildar Abdul Majeed of the Parachute Regiment will be awarded the Kirti Chakra posthumously and Pawan Kumar, a member of the 55 Battalion of the Rashtriya Rifles, will be awarded the Kirti Chakra posthumously.

They will get Shaurya Chakra

2- Major Amandeep Jhakar, 4th Battalion The Sikh Regiment

3- Captain MV Pranjal, 63 Corps of Signals, Rashtriya Rifles (posthumously)

4- Captain Akshat Upadhyay, 20 Battalion, Jat Regiment

5- Naib Subedar Sanjay Kumar Bhanwar Singh, 21 Battalion, The Mahar Regiment

6- Havildar Sanjay Kumar, 9 Assam Rifles Army

7- Rifleman Alok Rao, 18 Assam Rifles (posthumously) Army

8 – Shri Parshottam Kumar, C/O 63rd Battalion, Rashtriya Rifles Army (Civilian)

9- Lieutenant Bimal Ranjan Behera, Navy

10- Wing Commander Shailesh Singh, Flying (Pilot) Air Force

11- Flight Lieutenant Hrishikesh Jayan Karuthadath, Flying (Pilot) Air Force

12. Assistant Commandant Bibhor Kumar Singh, 205 Cobra CRPF

13- Deputy Superintendent of Police Mohan Lal Jammu and Kashmir Police

14- Assistant Sub Inspector Amit Raina Jammu and Kashmir Police

15- Sub Inspector Faroz Ahmed Dar Jammu and Kashmir Police

16- Constable Varun Singh Jammu and Kashmir Police
