Did UN staff also have a hand in the attack on Israel on October 7?

About 26 thousand Palestinians have been killed in the Israeli attack. There are many women and children among them. Yesterday the International Court said that Israel should make every possible effort to stop the massacre in Gaza, then Israel claimed that some UN staff were involved in the attack on Israel on October 7.

Yesterday, the International Court of Justice was telling Israel that it should make every possible effort to stop the genocide in Gaza. Then another stir was happening in the international media. It was said in some media reports that the United Nations Palestine Refugee Agency (UNRWA) has terminated the contracts of some of its employees. Israel has accused these employees of being involved in the October 7 attack.

Also, UNRWA has started investigation in this matter. On October 7, Hamas launched a shocking attack on Israel in which around 1200 people lost their lives and more than 200 people were taken hostage by Hamas. However, what is the number of such UN staff against whom such serious allegations are made? This has not been clear yet. The UN has also not told what role these people played in this attack.

America stopped funds

UNRWA, the Palestinian Refugee Agency of the United Nations, gets maximum help from organizations and countries like America, Germany and European Union. This UN organization has said many times before that it is no longer in a position to help the people of Gaza. The reasons behind this were said to be shortage of funds and Israel's bombing. The US State Department has expressed deep sorrow after these allegations came to light and has said that it will not provide any further help to the agency until these allegations are investigated.

Who will help the Palestinians?

UNRWA was established in 1949, immediately after the Israeli-Arab war. It provides education, health and humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people living in Gaza, West Bank, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has long been accusing UNRWA of fueling an anti-Israel environment. UNRWA has always denied this allegation.
