The disease of increased cholesterol is occurring due to wrong eating habits and spoiled lifestyle. But do you know that your sleeping pattern also increases the level of bad cholesterol in the body. Especially if your sleeping pattern is not good then it also increases bad cholesterol.
Dr. Ajay Kumar, senior physician in Delhi, says that our wrong sleeping pattern also increases bad cholesterol. According to the US Center for Disease Control, if a person is taking less than 7 hours of sleep every day then it affects his cholesterol levels. Research says that every person between 18 to 60 years of age should take at least 7 hours of sleep a day.
Less sleep increases bad cholesterol
According to research, a person who sleeps less than 7 hours every day increases the level of bad cholesterol in his body. Initially its symptoms are not visible, but gradually cholesterol increases and later it causes heart diseases. In many cases, less sleep not only increases bad cholesterol but also increases the level of triglycerides. There is also a risk of heart disease due to this.
too much sleep is also harmful
Research has said that like less sleep, too much sleep is also harmful for health. There is a risk of increasing obesity in the body due to excessive sleep, which is directly related to diabetes and heart disease. In such a situation, if you have a habit of sleeping more then try to change this too.
Get tested every three months
Dr. Ajay Kumar tells that every person above 20 years of age should get lipid profile test done once in three months. Through this test the level of cholesterol in the body is known. If bad cholesterol has increased then you should consult a doctor. The total cholesterol level in the body should not be more than 200 mg/dl.
