Big gift before the budget, everyone will get 'cashless' treatment in health insurance.

Just before the presentation of the general budget, crores of health insurance policy holders of the country have got a big gift. Soon, patients will get the facility of cashless insurance claim in every hospital of the country, whether it is a part of the network of their insurance companies or not. Read this news...

Right now, if there is no hospital link in the network of your health insurance company and you go there for treatment. Then you have to go through the process of reimbursement for the insurance claim. Because of this, your financial burden increases during treatment. At the same time, there is also a fear of claim rejection. Not only this, sometimes the process gets so delayed that the claim loses its meaning for you. But now all this will be a thing of the past. Every health insurance policy holder in the country will get the facility of 'cashless' treatment everywhere.

Yes, the General Insurance Council is holding a discussion with all the general and health insurance companies of the country. The main focus point of this discussion is that every health insurance policy holder in the country should be provided the facility of 'cashless treatment' in every hospital. Whether that hospital is part of the network of that person's insurance company or not.

This condition of 48 hours will have to be followed

However, policy holders will get this facility conditionally. If someone wants to avail the benefit of 'Cashless Everywhere' then he will have to inform his insurance company at least 48 hours in advance in case of hospitalization. Whereas in an emergency situation, the patient or his family will have to inform the insurance company within 48 hours of admission.

The General Insurance Council said on Wednesday that in this situation, policy holders will get the facility of cashless treatment as per their policy term. This should be as per the guidelines of their insurance company. At present, the Council has not given any fixed date as to when this rule will come into effect. At present, 63 percent of health insurance policy holders in the country currently choose the option of cashless claim.

The industry will benefit a lot

Tapan Singhal, MD-CEO of Bajaj Allianz General Insurance and Chairman of the General Insurance Council, said that in the long run this will control the problem of fraudulent claims in the health insurance sector. More and more people will come forward in the country to take health insurance. This will increase people's confidence in the system.
