The legendary bowler who created a stir in World Cup 2023 will get Arjun Award, these players also got lottery



The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has announced the National Sports Awards 2023. President of India Draupadi Murmu will felicitate all the winning players in a specially organized ceremony on 9 January 2024. Indian team's fast bowler Mohammed Shami will be given the Arjuna Award. His performance for Team India this year has been excellent. A total of 26 players including Shami will be honored with the Arjun Award.

Let us tell you that Shami is counted as the main bowler of the Indian team. For the last few years, he has been consistently performing well for the team. Even in the 13th edition of the World Cup, he was at the first position in terms of taking most wickets. He had taken 24 wickets in seven matches. He played an important role in taking the Indian team to the finals of the tournament.

Although India had to face defeat at the hands of Australia in the final, Shami was successful in winning the hearts of the fans with his performance during the event. Shami represents India in all three formats of cricket. Keeping in mind his achievements, the committee has decided to honor him with this award.

Apart from Shami, 25 other players will also be given Arjun Award on 9th January next month. These include the names of many talented players from the sports world. Which are as follows:
