Legends League Cricket 2023: Smith scored a century, Hyderabad defeated Manipal by 75 runs and qualified for the final.

In Qualifier 1 of Legends League Cricket 2023, UrbanRisers Hyderabad defeated Manipal Tigers by 75 runs with the help of a dashing century from Dwayne Smith. With this huge win they qualified for the finals. Manipal Tigers captain Mohammad Kaif had won the toss in this match and decided to bowl first. 

Batting first, UrbanRisers Hyderabad scored a mammoth score of 253 runs at the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs. Dwayne Smith scored the most runs for UrbanRisers Hyderabad. He played a century inning of 120 runs in 53 balls with the help of 14 fours and 7 sixes. Gurkirat Singh Mann played an inning of 39 runs in 26 balls with the help of 5 fours and one six. 

Smith and Gurkeerat made a partnership of 107 (48) runs. In the end, Asghar Afghan played an inning of 23 runs in 8 balls with the help of 2 fours and 2 sixes. Ricky Clark played an inning of 34 runs in 19 balls with the help of 6 fours and one six. Pankaj Singh and Thisara Perera took maximum 2-2 wickets for UrbanRisers. Imran Khan and Mitchell McClenaghan were successful in taking one wicket each. 

While chasing the target, Manipal Tigers team was limited to the score of 178 runs in 16.3 overs. Angelo Perera scored the most runs for the team. He played a half-century inning of 73 runs with the help of 7 fours and 5 sixes in 30 balls. Amit Verma scored 16 runs in 10 balls with the help of 2 fours and one six. Jerome Taylor and Peter Trego took the maximum 3-3 wickets for Urbanrisers Hyderabad. Stuart Binny took 2 wickets.
