Will Delhi's air become clean after November 20? Preparation to eliminate pollution through artificial rain

The havoc of pollution is increasing in Delhi. Delhi government is continuously making efforts to control this, although AQI is not improving. In such a situation, now the Delhi government has decided to make artificial rain. For this, a meeting was held with experts from IIT Kanpur on Wednesday. Minister Atishi was also present in it.

Now artificial rain will be used to rid Delhi of pollution. Complete preparations have been made for this. According to Environment Minister of Delhi Government, Gopal Rai, this artificial rain can be done on 20th or 21st November. On Wednesday, he also held a meeting with experts from IIT Kanpur in this regard. Minister Atishi was also present in this meeting.

Delhi has become a gas chamber, the air quality index is at record. Due to poisonous air, it has become difficult for people to even breathe. According to CPCB data, Delhi's air quality index remained at 426 even on Wednesday, which is a very serious situation. All efforts are being made by the Delhi government to deal with these situations. GRAP-4 has also been implemented, but due to lack of reduction in pollution situation, now it has been decided to make artificial rain.

This is how artificial rain happens

To cause artificial rain on any area, first of all silver iodide is sprayed in the sky with the help of aircraft, as soon as it comes in contact with the air, clouds are formed rapidly, due to these clouds it rains. In simple language it is also called cloud seeding. According to experts from IIT Kanpur, silver iodide is like snow, due to which the amount of moisture in the clouds increases and the clouds start raining.

The plan was postponed in 2018

A plan to create artificial rain in Delhi was also made in 2018, but this plan was postponed due to the weather not being favorable at that time. It is said that at that time the IIT professors had made complete preparations for it, but the weather had ruined all the preparations. According to IIT experts, it is difficult to make artificial rain every time during the winter season, in fact there is less moisture in the clouds during winter, in such a situation the process of cloud seeding becomes difficult.
