Eyes met…heart skipped a beat…and love fell. Yes, businessman Raj Kundra fell in love with Shilpa Shetty at first sight. Shilpa Shetty also lost her heart on Raj Kundra's smile, but when Shilpa came to know that Raj was married, her heart broke. However, very soon Raj Kundra divorced his first wife. The story of Shilpa and Raj was absolutely filmy. The two met for the first time in 2006, Shilpa was in London for the promotion of her perfume brand S-2 and Raj Kundra had come to meet her. In an interview, Raj Kundra had said about Shilpa Shetty that 'I fell in love with Shilpa the first time I saw her.' Raj Kundra said that he had started seeing Shilpa as his life partner and his heart had fallen on Shilpa. Raj said that Shilpa is a superwoman and I felt that we both can be a good support system for each other.

Raj used to send expensive gifts worth lakhs to Shilpa before marriage. Shilpa wanted to marry Raj but Raj was a businessman living in London and Shilpa did not want to leave India. Then one day Shilpa's phone rang and Raj asked her if she had seen Amitabh Bachchan's Bungalow Jalsa, to which I said yes. Raj said that I have bought a flat right in front of Jalsa and we went to see this flat. This was the day when Shilpa felt that she should marry Raj Kundra.
Raj Kundra proposed to Shilpa Shetty in filmy style
In a filmy style, Raj proposed Shilpa in front of everyone by wearing a 5 carat diamond ring at the Yorkshire IIFA Awards held in 2007. Shilpa also said yes and then both of them got married with great pomp on 22 November 2009. Today Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty have a son and a daughter.
