The G20 summit has started from today in New Delhi. This conference is being organized in Bharat Mandapam. Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave a warm welcome to the leaders who came to attend the G20 summit at Bharat Mandapam. Behind the place where PM Modi was welcoming the global leaders, a replica of the Konark Chakra of the world famous Sun Temple in Puri, Odisha was adding to the beauty of the place.
Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan posted a video on X, in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi is showing the Konark Chakra of the Sun Temple to US President Joe Biden and also telling about its features. Minister Pradhan wrote, 'The magnificent culture and heritage of Odisha has got a place of pride in the G20 summit. Konark Chakra is an architectural marvel that also reflects civilizational concepts of time, space, continuity and future.' He further wrote, 'PM Narendra Modi is giving information to US President Biden about the importance of the country's heritage and knowledge traditions, which is indeed a beautiful sight.

Many top leaders welcomed
Apart from Joe Biden, PM Modi welcomed British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and many other top leaders at the Bharat Mandapam.
Konark Chakra was built in the 13th century during the reign of King Narasimhadev-I. Its giant wheel has eight wide spokes and eight inner spokes, and its diameter is nine feet.
Konark an example of excellence in architecture
Konark Chakra is considered an excellent example of the country's ancient knowledge, advanced civilization and architecture. The rotation of this wheel is considered a symbol of progress and change along with the cycle of time.
PM Modi reached Bharat Mandapam on Saturday morning to attend the two-day meeting of top world leaders. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval and other officials were also present with him.
