Nawaz Sharif's problems may increase as soon as he reaches Pakistan, NAB opens old files

Pakistan's acting Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar has said that law enforcement agencies will decide whether former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will be arrested after he returns home.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif will return to his country from London on October 21 to strengthen the party and lead the political campaign in the upcoming elections. However, his return to Pakistan may be difficult. In fact, after the Supreme Court's decision on NAB laws, the cases of many big leaders including former President Asif Ali Zardari, former Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif, Yousuf Raza Gilani are being reopened.

Along with the Tosha Khana cases of Nawaz Sharif, Shehbaz Sharif, Asif Zardari and Yousuf Raza Gilani, there may also be trouble in the Pink Residency case. Meanwhile, the LNG case of former PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi can be transferred from Special Judge Central to the Accountability Court. Similarly, there are preparations to reopen the case against former Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin. Kidney Hill cases against Pakistan Peoples Party senator Salim Mandviwala and disproportionate assets cases against Ishaq Dar have been transferred to the respective courts.

Why are all the old cases being opened?

Let us tell you that a three-member bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Omar Atta Bandial has approved the petition of the Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf against the NAB amendments and accepted 9 out of 10 demands. In its decision, the Supreme Court has approved the resumption of the ongoing cases against big personalities of the country. Along with this, NAB has also been allowed to investigate corruption cases involving less than Rs 500 million.

What did Kakar say on the arrest of Nawaz Sharif?
