If Russia-Ukraine war had not happened then the world's poor would have had Rs 20,000 in their hands.

According to Forbes report, Russia has spent Rs 13.9 lakh crore in the war with Ukraine. Russia is spending around Rs 2500 crore every day on war. The surprising thing is that this trend has not stopped yet. The report says that Russia has suffered more losses in 2023 than in 2022.

Russia can do anything for its insistence. For the last one and a half years, the whole world is not only feeling this but is also facing it. The Russia-Ukraine war is the result of such stubbornness. In which Putin's country has spent 167 billion dollars. Yes, this is not a small amount. If it is calculated in Indian rupees then it will be Rs 13.9 lakh crore. If this amount is distributed equally among the poor of the world, then more than 19 thousand rupees i.e. more than 232 dollars would have come into the accounts of about 72 crore poor people of the world.

A report has been released by Forbes. In which details have been given by Russia about how much money Russia has spent in the war with Ukraine. The surprising thing is that this money of Russia is only related to military expenditure. No other loss has been calculated in this. Let us try to understand by reading each and every page of Forbes, where and how Russia spent so much money. Which could have been used to help the poor.

Ashes are 300 million dollars every day

Forbes has calculated on the data of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine that in the Russia-Ukraine War that has been going on for one and a half years, Russia has spent approximately 167.3 billion US dollars i.e. Rs 13.91 lakh crore on the war. Out of which equipment worth US$34 billion has been destroyed by Ukrainian forces alone.

According to Forbes, Russia is spending about 300 million US dollars i.e. about Rs 2500 crore per day on the war against Ukraine. Direct military expenses and lost equipment cost Russia approximately US$167.3 billion over the 18 months of the war (from 24 February 2022 to 24 August 2023). This estimate does not include the continuous defense expenditure related to military operations and the country's economic losses.

Where and how was it spent?

The cost of military operations is US$ 51.3 billion, soldiers' salaries are US$ 35.1 billion, compensation to the families of the dead is US$ 25.6 billion, the injured are US$ 21 billion and the cost of destroyed equipment is US$ 34 billion.

After the sharp fall of the ruble, the “cost” of the Russian soldier in the budget of the Russian Federation decreased significantly. If the total payment per one soldier in 2022 was about US$200 per day, now it will be about US$120 per day. It is done.

The impact of the fall in the ruble has also been seen in compensation. At present one dollar is equal to 60 rubles. According to Forbes report, there was a significant reduction in compensation to the army in US dollars.

Earlier, Russia was giving 110,000 US dollars as compensation to the family of the deceased, which has been reduced to about 65,000 US dollars. The compensation amount to the injured was earlier $45,000, which has been reduced to $27,000.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the level of Russian losses in recent months has become much larger than last year. Russia is forced to spend more on compensation to families.

The main items of Russian Federation's expenditure on the war in Ukraine are ammunition and military support to the army. Its total cost is 51.34 billion US dollars. Also, the Russians spent more than 9 billion US dollars to provide Russian artillery in one and a half years.

The total cost of missiles fired at Ukraine has already exceeded US$21.1 billion.

More than 19 thousand rupees coming into the hands of the world's poor

Just think, what would have been the situation if the Russia-Ukraine war had not happened? 167.3 billion dollars i.e. 13.9 lakh crore rupees would have been saved. If the money was distributed among the poor, some of their problems could have been reduced. According to the World Bank, by the year 2021, 719 million people are poor in the world. If this expenditure is divided equally among these people of the world, Rs 19,322.78 i.e. 232.25 dollars will come into their hands. These are 72 crore people who live with less than $2.15 per day. With this money they can live a good life for more than 100 days.
