Dengue: These 6 symptoms appear in the body when platelets are low in dengue, get treated immediately

Dengue and platelets:
Dengue fever cases are gaining momentum in many states of the country. Most of the patients of this fever get cured in a few days, but in some cases, due to dengue, the level of platelets starts falling in the body, which can prove to be fatal.

This time, due to the long monsoon and floods in many areas of the country, the outbreak of dengue has started before time. Cases of this fever are increasing in many states. Deaths also occur due to dengue. Usually, this fever gets cured on its own in a few days, but if the symptoms of dengue become severe and the level of platelets starts falling in the body, then there is a danger of death of the patient. Due to the decrease of platelets, the formation of blood clots in the body decreases. This can cause internal bleeding which becomes the cause of death. In such a situation, it is important for you to know that what are the symptoms seen when the level of platelets in the body falls.

Doctors say that after the onset of dengue fever, its fever starts reducing in three to four days. During this period there is complaint of body pain. It does not cause many symptoms, but if hemorrhagic fever occurs due to dengue, the level of platelets in the body may fall. This may worsen the patient's condition. In some cases, there is also a risk of death. If platelets have started decreasing in someone's body due to dengue, then these 6 types of symptoms are necessary.

These are the symptoms

weakness and fatigue

rash on body

vomiting and diarrhea

Dizziness

muscle pain

bleeding gums and nose

What should be the level of platelets?

Dr. Deepak Kumar Suman at Safdarjung Hospital tells that platelets in the body of every person do not decrease in dengue, it happens only in a few cases. Especially such cases are seen more in those with weak immunity. The level of platelets in a normal person's body remains 1.5 lakh to 4.50 lakh per microliter. In some cases of dengue, this level keeps decreasing.

If it becomes less than 1 lakh then it is considered as low platelets count, but it should not panic. If the level of platelets is more than 20 thousand then there is no danger. But if it is less then this situation can be dangerous. In such a situation, the patient needs transfusion of platelets.
