Wow Anand Mahindra, gave a befitting reply to the British on Chandrayaan 3, the chest will be wide

India's billionaire businessman and chairman of Mahindra Group Anand Mahindra gave a befitting reply on social media to the BBC anchor who questioned the Chandrayaan 3 space programme.

Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra on Thursday gave a befitting reply to a BBC anchor's question whether India should really spend money on a space program the size of Chandrayaan-3? The presenter argued that the majority of India's population lives in poverty and that more than 700 million people in the country do not even have access to toilets.

In the viral video, the BBC anchor can be heard saying, India is a country that lacks basic infra, where there is a lot of poverty. More than 700 million Indians do not even have access to toilets. Really, should they be spending money on the space program this way?

Anand Mahindra gave a befitting reply

Responding to the BBC anchor's tweet containing the video, Mahindra wrote, "Really?? The truth is that, to a large extent, our poverty was the result of decades of colonial rule that systematically plundered the wealth of the entire subcontinent. Yet the most valuable asset that was robbed from us was not the Kohinoor diamond but our pride and belief in our abilities.

Then what did you say

He added, because the goal of colonization – its deadliest effect – is to convince its victims of their inferiority. This is the reason why investing in both toilet and space exploration is not a contradiction. Sir, going to the moon helps in boosting our pride and confidence. It instills faith in progress through science. It inspires us to come out of poverty. India created history on Wednesday by becoming the first country to soft-land on the Moon's south pole and the fourth country to land on the moon after Russia, the US and China.
