Threads Traffic Declines: After performing well in the beginning, the traffic of Meta's Threads app is continuously falling. A recent report by SimilarWeb shows that there is a massive 79 percent drop in traffic within a month. People are not liking to use threads anymore. According to the report, the traffic on Threads Android app was seen at 49.3 million on July 7, which has come down to only 10.3 million at present. Similarly, the average time spent on the platform in the US has also come down from 21 minutes per day to just 3 minutes per day.
How much time are people spending on Twitter(x)?
Talking about Threads' competitor Twitter app, it currently has more than 100 million active users who spend an average of about 25 minutes per day on the app. 25 minutes tells that people like the app and it can get better in the coming times.
Threads failed miserably in maintaining traffic
Meta launched the Threads app in July. This app had acquired a userbase of 100 million in just 5 days. This is the only app to achieve 100 million in such a short time. However, the growth of the app did not last long and by the end of the month, the traffic has reduced from 75% earlier to almost 80% now. The main reason for the traffic drop is that the app is not like Twitter. Also, it does not yet have many such features which can increase the interactivity. By the way, to increase the traffic, Meta is adding new features to the app, but no significant effect has been seen yet.
