Now, if you buy any item, then definitely take its bill, because this bill is going to give you many rights. Yes, we are right. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is going to launch the 'Mera Bill-Mera Adhikar' scheme on September 1. This scheme will start from Gurugram, Haryana.

In this regard, a program has been organized in Sector-15 of Gurugram. State Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala said that Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is going to launch this scheme on Friday.

The common man will benefit

A portal will be launched under this scheme. Besides, an app for this platform has also been created. Citizens will be able to upload bills for the purchase of their goods on this portal or app. Later a draw will be held for these bills, the winners of which will get rewards. The government has kept a separate fund of Rs 30 crore for this reward.

Will get a reward of Rs 1 crore

The Central Government has said that the 'Mera Bill-Mera Adhikar' scheme will promote the habit of asking for the bill for every purchase among the people. To encourage customers, the government will distribute two bumper prizes every quarter, which will be worth Rs 1 crore each.

Help in increasing GST collection

The government believes that due to the 'My Bill-My Right' scheme, more and more people will be motivated to get the bill for their goods. This will help in increasing GST collection. Dushyant Chautala said that this scheme will help in promoting the habit of demanding bill from the shopkeeper among the people, which will ultimately help in increasing the GST collection of the government.

The GST collection of the government is continuously increasing. According to the latest data, the government's GST collection in July 2023 has been Rs 1,65,105 crore. The government implemented the GST law in the country on July 1, 2017. Since then, this has happened only 5 times when the government's GST collection has touched the figure of Rs 1.6 lakh crore in a month.
