Bharat NCAP Launch: Now you will not have to rely on foreigners, safety rating of cars will be available in the country itself

Bharat NCAP Launch Date: To check the safety of cars, now we will not have to rely on foreign agencies. Union Cabinet Minister Nitin Gadkari will launch 'Bharat NCAP' on 22 August. This can prove to be a big step towards improving road safety.

The wait for the historic moment regarding the safety of cars in the country is about to end. The Bharat New Car Assessment Program (Bharat NCAP) will be launched in India on 22 August. Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari will launch 'Bharat NCAP' on Tuesday. This is considered a big step towards improving road safety. Cars sold in the Indian market till now get safety ratings from abroad. After the introduction of Bharat NCAP, cars will get safety rating in the country itself.

This testing program is being introduced in India for vehicles weighing up to 3.5 tonnes. The purpose of this program is to provide car customers with the convenience of choosing, so that they can compare cars by looking at crash test ratings in the market. Car companies still go to global test rating agencies, but they will get this facility in the country itself.

Bharat NCAP: This is how you will get rating

Under Bharat NCAP, car manufacturers can send their cars for testing as per Automotive Industry Standard (AIS) 197. The star rating will be given on the basis of the performance of the cars during the test. India NCAP will give star ratings for Adult Occupants (AOP ie Adult Passenger) and Child Occupants (COP ie Small Children).

People like safe cars

While buying a car in India, buyers have started paying a lot of attention to the safety features. Along with the cost, people also worry about their own safety. Hence it is beneficial to choose cars with good safety ratings.

After the launch of Bharat NCAP, the testing of cars will accelerate. New car buyers will be able to select a better car for themselves by looking at the star rating received from the Indian agency.

Bharat NCAP: This will be beneficial

Safe cars are in demand among car customers. This puts pressure on car companies to make safe cars. With the commencement of crash tests in India, it is expected that Indian cars will also meet the higher level of safety standards. With this, Indian cars will be able to compete well in the global market. Apart from this, focusing on the safety of cars will help in increasing the export of cars from India.
