The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has constituted a new committee to finalize the syllabus and textbooks for classes 3 to 12. A 19-member high-powered committee, named the National Curriculum and Teaching Learning Material Committee (NSTC). It will be headed by Mahesh Chandra Pant, Chancellor of the National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA).
