Due to the two rape cases already going on against 28-year-old Mendy not reaching any conclusion, both these cases have been taken to the court for re-hearing.
Recently, LBC has published a detailed report regarding all these sensational news related to Mendy. According to this, Mendy raped the woman in October 2020 in his Cheshire mansion worth 4 million pounds. At that time the age of the victim was 24 years. Two years before that, a 29-year-old woman had accused Mendy of attempted rape. However, in both these cases, Mendy denies the charges against him. Mendy is also going to leave his current club soon.
Acquitted in 6 cases of rape
At the trial at Chester Crown Court, Judge Stephen Everett told the jury that French international footballer Mendy had been found not guilty during a trial that ended in January this year. Due to which he was honorably acquitted in six cases of rape and in four cases of sexual harassment of women. In two other cases (one for rape and two for attempted rape of the victims), the jurors could not reach a final verdict. Due to which now the case against Mendy has to be started again in the same cases.
Took undue advantage in parties
Mirror Casey told the jury, “Benjamin Mendy is a famous footballer. Who has been associated with Manchester City Football Club on contract. He often held parties for entertainment at The Spinney, Mottram St Andrew Cheshire. Both men and women used to reach in these. The prosecution said that it was during these parties that Mendy took undue advantage of two women (guests). He forcibly tried to have physical relations with a woman. While in the second time he raped her in his bedroom with another woman.
Lawyer Aina Casey further said, “In the year 2017, Mendy had her first meeting with a British student. In the last month of the same year, a meeting in a nightclub in Barcelona increased intimacy with his friend. About a year later, the friend arranged a meeting with the same girl at footballer Mendy's house. At the same time, without the consent of the girl, Mendy went to her bathroom when she herself was present there alone and in less clothes.
Allegations from Mendy's attempted rape
According to the case presented against Mendy in the court, “Even after the girl refused, Mendy caught hold of her and tried to rape her by taking her to his bedroom. Another similar incident was also carried out by Mendi two years later. However, when the police interrogated Mendy, he denied all the allegations of rape and attempted rape against him. Yes, Mendy had definitely confessed that all the women he had established sexual relations with in his life so far, all of them were made with their (women and girls) consent.
In such a situation, the case of rape and attempt to rape cannot be prosecuted legally. Along with this, Mendy also confessed that till now he has had physical relations with about 10,000 women and girls. But he never forcefully made physical relations with anyone. It is necessary to mention here that the trial of the case is still going on in the court. Mendy also did not play for Manchester City Football Club for two years after his initial arrest.
