Such a dangerous challenge came on the Internet! 13 year old girl lost her life; be careful too

What Is Chroming: A 13-year-old Australian girl recently died due to the social media challenge "chroming". People all over the internet discovered the term last month after a social media chroming challenge recently claimed the life of Esra Haynes. Inhaling vapors of hazardous compounds such as deodorants, paint, glue or nitrous gas gives immediate results. Doing this can spoil your health badly. Even your life can be in danger.

It is being said that it started four to five years ago. The act of smelling substances such as aerosol cans, metal paints, gases and solvents appears to be a modification of a long-standing habit of smelling or smelling various substances. According to The Strait Times report, because of this, the lives of two 16-year-old boys were at stake in 2019.

The name of that Australian girl was Esra Haynes who died due to chroming. When she passed away, she was only 13 years old. Google Trends shows that there has been a significant increase in searches for the Chroming Challenge in the month of May following the passing of Esra Haynes. Esra Haynes' parents came forward to save other children from this dreadful trend. His new target is to stop people from dying from this trend. Because of this, Esra Haynes is advising parents to keep a watch on their kids and prevent them from getting involved in such silly acts.

Dr. Siegel blamed Tiktok for the deaths due to this trend. Melbourne-based RCH (The Royal Children's Hospital) has also given several instructions for chroming on its website.

Harmful Effects of 'Chroming'

There is a possibility that the trend of chroming will lead to tachycardia, a condition characterized by a rapid heartbeat. It has many negative side effects such as hallucinations, nausea and vomiting. This trend can lead to seizures, asphyxia, heart attacks, coma and irreversible damage to multiple organs including the kidneys, heart, lungs, liver and brain.

According to The Royal Children's Hospital Melbourne, 'chroming' is a general term used to describe the inhalation of volatile substances/solvents as recreational drugs. This phrase dictates the inhalation of paint with a chrome base. The term "recreational drugs" is currently used more generally to describe the inhalation of volatile chemicals.
