Epidemiologist Dr. Anshuman Kumar says that Congo fever is not new. Its cases have already been coming all over the world. Even in India its cases have been reported, although the cases have never been more reported. This is because human to human transmission of this virus is very difficult.

How does this disease spread

This disease spreads due to CCHF virus. First of all, in 1944, its first case was registered in Crimea. The death rate from this is 40 percent, which is many times more than Kovid. According to the World Health Organisation, the virus is transmitted to animals by the bite of a tick bug. After this the virus spreads from animals to humans.
