The Kerala Story: The story of the disappearance of 32 thousand girls, how much reality, how much fiction?

The Kerala Story:
Controversy has erupted even before the release of Ada Sharma's film The Kerala Story. In the film, it has been claimed that 32 thousand girls have gone missing from Kerala. Questions are being raised on this figure.

The Kerala Story Controversy: The Kerala Story, a film directed by actress Ada Sharma starrer and Sudipto Sen, is in discussion these days. The trailer of the film came out on April 26 and since then there has been a debate about it. Makers claim that the story of the film is based on true events. But will no one know if 32 thousand girls from any state change their religion and join terrorist organizations?

It is shown in the trailer of the film that the girls have been framed with complete planning. First they are brought closer to Islam. Then Muslim boys marry her through love jihad and then she is sent abroad to become a nurse, where she gets trapped in the clutches of ISIS. There was an uproar as soon as the trailer arrived. While a section is promoting this trailer, many people are calling the film an agenda. Many types of opinions are coming out on Twitter.

How true is the figure of 32,000 girls?

The film has been made. The trailer has also been released. But the question is, how much of the claim is true and how much is fallacy? In January 2022, the NIA revealed that Islamic State sleeper cells are active in Kerala. At that time a charge sheet was filed against eight terrorists. The NIA claimed that an attempt was made to take the Muslim youth of Kerala on the path of terror. It was also told that women are also involved in this.

During the Chief Ministership of Oommen Chandy, the figures of religious conversion came to the fore. According to those figures, during the year 2006 to 2012, 7713 people accepted Islam. During the year 2009 to 2012, 2667 of the people who were converted were women. Of these, 2195 were young Hindu girls and 492 were young Christian girls. At that time, CM Chandy had also told in the assembly that during 2006 to 2012, 2803 people had adopted Hinduism. Apart from this, during 2009 to 2012, 79 girls adopted Christianity and two girls converted to Hinduism.

It is mentioned in the trailer

There is a dialogue in the trailer in which a girl says, “This is the global agenda. Our former CM has said that Kerala will become an Islamic state in the next 20 years." At the end of the trailer, Adah Sharma who is playing the role of Shalini Unnikrishnan and Fatima Bi says, “I am not alone in this game. There are thousands of girls like me who have run away from their homes and are buried in this desert.

This film will be released in theaters on May 5. It has been produced by Vipul Amrit Lal Shah. Apart from Ada Sharma, there are actors like Yogita Bihani, Sonia Balani, Siddhi Idnani, Vijay Krishna, Pranay Pachauri and Pranav Mishra.
