Shaheen Afridi created history by taking 2 wickets in the first over, broke Kagiso Rabada's unique record

Pakistan's fast pacer Shaheen Afridi made a special record in the fifth and last T20 International match played against New Zealand at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Monday (April 24). Afridi took 2 wickets for 48 runs in his quota of four overs. He took both the wickets in the very first over of the innings.

Broke Kagiso Rabada's record

As a fast bowler, Afridi has taken the record of taking the fastest 200 wickets in T20 cricket. Afridi has done this feat in match innings. In this case, he broke the record of Kagiso Rabada, who achieved this position in 146 matches. Only Rashid Khan (134) and Saeed Ajmal (129) have reached this figure faster than Afridi.

Umar Gul's match

Afridi has jointly reached the first place in terms of taking the most wickets in the first over in this format for Pakistan. He has taken the first over wicket for the 15th time. Afridi equals former bowler Umar Gul.

Significantly, New Zealand defeated Pakistan by 6 wickets in this match. With this the series was drawn 2-2. Batting first after losing the toss, Pakistan scored 193 runs for the loss of 5 wickets on the basis of half-century of Mohammad Rizwan (98). In response, Mark Chapman won by losing 4 wickets with 4 balls remaining on the basis of a stormy century. Chapman scored an unbeaten 104 in 57 balls with the help of 11 fours and 4 sixes.
