By now you must have seen men selling tea at many tea stalls at railway stations across the country . But now you got to see something new at Guwahati railway station . Trans Tea Stall . Yes, now you will see transgenders selling tea here. In fact , several steps are being taken continuously to empower the transgender community. Indian Railways has also taken a big initiative in this regard. In an effort to bring the transgender community into the mainstream, a first-of-its-kind tea stall has been started by the Northeast Frontier Railway.
This tea stall has been built on the platform of Guwahati railway station where transgenders will now be seen selling tea. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has also shared the pictures of this tea stall on Twitter and has described it as India's first trans tea stall on the railway platform. According to the information, this tea stall was opened on March 10, which will be completely run by transgenders.

'A pillar of empowerment for the transgender community'
Earlier, tweeting on behalf of Northeast Frontier Railway said that for the first time in Indian Railways, a tea stall has been opened on platform 1 of Guwahati railway station, which will be managed only by transgenders. A testament to the call of 'Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas', this stall will be a pillar of empowerment for the transgender community.

This is being seen as a major initiative to empower transgenders. According to information, more such stalls will be opened in other railway stations as well, so that the transgender community can live life with pride.
