Medical Officer Vacancy 2023: If you are an MBBS doctor or have done any other medical course, then you can get a job in the Government of India. You will not get this Government Job anywhere else, but in the military forces. Notification of Medical Officer Recruitment has been issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs in ITBP and other forces like CRPF, BSF, SSB and Assam Rifles. Online application for this is starting from Wednesday, 15 February 2023.

A total of 297 vacancies have come for three different types of positions. All the recruitment will be at Group A level. Salary will be given under Central Pay Scale 7th Pay Commission. The names of the posts and number of vacancies are as follows-

Super Specialist Medical Officer (Second in Command) – 5 Posts (Candidates up to 50 years can apply)

Specialist Medical Officer (Deputy Commandant) – 185 Posts (The maximum age of the applicant should be up to 40 years only)

Medical Officer (Assistant Commandant) – 107 Posts (Upper age limit is 30 years)

Total number of posts – 297 (in this 10% posts will be reserved for ex-servicemen)

ITBP Medical Officer Selection Process

You will not have to give any written exam for this government job. There will be two phases in the selection process. First- Shortlisting of the application (documents) submitted by you and interview. Second- Physical Test (PST) and Medical Exam (MET).

Medical officer salary

Second-in-Command Rank – 7th CPC, with Pay Level 12 starting pay scale ranging from Rs 78,800 to Rs 2.09 lakh per month.

The pay scale at the Deputy Commandant rank will be from Rs 67,700 to Rs 2.08 lakh per month.

At the Assistant Commandant rank, your salary will be according to the initial pay scale ranging from Rs 56,100 to Rs 1.77 lakh per month.

The amount mentioned here is only on basic pay. In addition to the full salary, there will be other allowances including DA, HRA, TA.
