This 'weapon' will kill the dragon, not cannonballs, Jaishankar told the action plan

Foreign Minister S Jaishankar has said that the Government of India is engaged in developing tremendous infrastructure for border security.

In its budget, the Government of India has given maximum attention to developing infrastructure along the borders with neighboring countries . If we talk about the China border , then it can be understood from the difference in the work done on the border during the tenure of the Modi government and the previous governments that how the rate of development on the border has doubled. Strategically and strategically sensitive in the northern parts of India, the Modi government has set up tremendous infrastructure on the border adjacent to China.

First of all, let's talk about the road network on the China border. The Modi government has set up a 6806 km long network on the China border in 8 years from 2014 to 2022, while the previous governments had set up a road network of 3610 km in 6 years between 2008 and 2014, that is, in comparison, about two Guna road has been constructed. In the last two years, the budget of BRO has been increased from 2500 to 5000 crores i.e. doubled.

Foreign Minister S Jaishankar told TV9 Bharatvarsh that before 2014, 7.3 km bridge was constructed in the areas immediately adjacent to the China border, whereas during the Modi government, we have constructed 23.5 km bridge in the areas adjacent to China. Understand the government's action plan in these 8 points-

1. In this sequence, the construction of the world's largest road tunnel i.e. Atal Tunnel at a height of 10 thousand feet is important. With the construction of this 9.02 kilometer long tunnel, the distance between Manali and Keylong has been reduced by 45 kilometers along with movement in the Lahaul-Spiti valley area throughout the year, which has made it easier to reach the China border.

2. Along with this, the Modi government has achieved great success on the India-China border by building a road between Chisumle and Demchok at an altitude of 19 thousand 24 feet in the Umlinga Pass of Southern Ladakh, recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records.

3. Apart from this, due to the special effort of the Central Government, due to the infrastructure development, it was possible to open the Zojila Pass on the China border in March 2022 after just 73 days of closure, which was earlier normally covered with snow for about 4/5 months.

4. Not only this, the opening of 16 passes located on the India-China border in a record time last year is also a big achievement for this entire strategic region which usually used to remain cut off from other parts of the country for a long time.

5. Arunachal's Lai Bridge, just adjacent to the China border, has been built on Elang Yiqing Road in just 240 days. Another bridge on Minjing Tooting Road has been built in a record 180 days.

6. One of the most important constructions on the China border is the Sela Tunnel which is being built at an altitude of 13,700 feet, so that the Indian Army will be able to reach close to Tawang directly on the LAC throughout the year. After construction, this tunnel will be the world's largest bilane tunnel.

7. The construction of the strategically important Chushul Doongti Demchowk road has been started last month. After the construction of this 135 kilometer long road, India will be in a very strong position in this area.

8. The central government is doing construction work in these areas adjacent to the India-China border through the use of new technology, which would be sustainable for a long time at high-altitude and would be available for the movement of troops for 12 months.
